REVIEWS

“The band were great. Really good vibe and they were just what we wanted. They were able to do a song for our first dance and it was just perfect!”

Jonathan, Wedding, Cirencester

“Well, what can I say... other than totally awesome! Such talent - Helen's voice is remarkable, she is so gifted. The boys were just brilliant too. All so natural and made my night perfect. Everyone kept saying how good they were on the night and to date. I've already been asked for details for my friends party. So much talent in four gorgeous people. Thanks so much!”

Karen, 50th Birthday Party, Wokingham

“I can't believe it was 4 weeks ago now, so sorry this email hasn't come sooner but I just wanted to give you and the band a massive thank you for our wedding at Preston Court. You were absolutely brilliant, so talented and got everyone up and dancing. We had so many compliments for you guys, people said you played such a good range of music, that you were great musicians and that they thought you were just amazing. I know we would have loved the party to go on with many more hours with you.
And thank you for adapting around our timings, I know everything went a bit haywire during our meal so we were running really behind.
Let me know if there's anywhere I can leave a testimonial for you and thank you again.”

Sophie & Ross, Wedding, Kent

“The Sweet and Lowdown were absolutely fantastic!! We were a bit nervous as we had booked them based on one video online, however we needn't have worried. They played two sets for us and had everyone dancing all night long. It was such a great mix of songs - from the 90s mix to the Disney classics. So many people commented on how good they were. Really recommend! Thank you!!!”

Rebecca, Wedding, Warwickshire

“We loved the band, their sound was exactly what we where looking for! They accommodated our first dance request and played the majority of the songs in our preferred set list.”

Mike, Wedding, Sevenoaks

“Function Central have an amazingly diverse range of bands to choose from and were really helpful. We went for The Sweet & Lowdown as they were something different from the normal wedding band and not too cheesy! The band were brilliant and were really lovely and played a range of songs to suit all tastes. After a break they adapted to the younger people's tastes - we had them to the end of the night and my dad stole the show with his dance moves!”

Roz, Wedding, Bromley

“The Sweet & Lowdown were excellent at our wedding - our guests loved them, and people were dancing the whole time! We loved the mixture of old and new songs, and they also learnt a song for our first dance which was very well done. Very friendly, arrived on time and all round great. Thank you!”

Jasmine, Wedding, Kent

“The act were great at communicating via phone and email before our wedding and when they arrived set up with no fuss at all. The music was AMAZING and they judged the crowd perfectly with a brilliant 90s set half way through! Our first dance, the songs we'd asked for and their interaction with the crowd was perfect!”

Katy, Wedding, Andover

“The Sweet & Lowdown were absolutely fabulous and created the most perfect vibe for our daytime celebration. They could really swing and they sounded just fantastic. They were a pleasure to have around and so friendly and obviously enjoyed what they were playing... and so all our guests enjoyed it too! We had so many compliments and we couldn't have been more thrilled.”

Karen, Private Party, Middlesex

“Hi all, I just wanted to say a quick thank you for playing at our wedding in Cardiff last week. We knew you were going to be excellent but all guests have been raving about how good you were. Everyone enjoyed the range of songs played... You even got Alex's 91 year old grandad up and dancing (he hasn't stopped talking about the fun he had). I'm absolutely gutted I was hijacked and didn't get to dance to you playing!... Thank you also for being good sports when the dregs of us were taking over your iPad to choose songs to dance to as you were packing up! I will be recommending you to all friends/brides to be... See you again at our vow renewal in years to come!”

Cari, Wedding, Cardiff

“They were completely brilliant - everyone was up and dancing for the whole time they were playing. The band even gave in to our 'one more song' requests! I've had so much praise for them, particularly from other musicians who were at the wedding!”

Isobel & Chris, Wedding, Salisbury

“We cannot praise The Sweet & Lowdown enough for playing so brilliantly at our wedding on Saturday. Everyone LOVED you and I've already had people asking about where they can book you for their weddings! The dancefloor was packed all night and we were delighted when our cries of 'one more song' paid off! Thank you so much, you really made our evening.”

Isobel, Wedding, Kent

“The performers were really very good and the music they sang pleased a wide variety of guests. They were very professional in set up and at the end of the night. We would definitely hire them again for another event/ function!”

Ajesh, Wedding, Surrey

“The Sweet & Lowdown were absolutely outstanding. The party was a mix of cultures and they handled such a varied mix of people really well. I have to say that I have zero complaints. What I particularly liked about the band was that they have their own unique sound & style.”

Mindy , Wedding, Gloucestershire

“We were absolutely thrilled with the band. Even my gran who was 86 at the time wanted to get up and dance. Their engagement with us and with our friends and family was great and the sound set up was perfect. They picked such a great choice of songs, I barely left the dance floor throughout the entire evening!”

Clare, Wedding, Pangbourne

“Extremely satisfied!! The Sweet and Lowdown were absolutely fantastic on the night - our dancefloor was full all night, and they played a brilliantly varied set which kept everyone entertained and engaged. Incredibly accommodating as we overran on dinner and speeches, and they played later than planned. They also allowed my groom to indulge his passion for keys by allowing him to play with them! So happy we went with this band and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone else thinking about booking them.”

Debbie, Wedding, Sherborne

“Hello! Just wanted to say many thanks for your wonderful set at our wedding on Saturday at Hillfields Farm. You had everyone dancing the whole night and personally I couldn't stay away from the dance floor when you were playing! Thanks also for your great rendition of our first dance song, we really enjoyed that moment. We chose you for our wedding after we had seen you at a good friends' reception and I hope that more of my friends do the same so that we get to see you again!”

Jack & Stella, Wedding, Berkshire
