“We had The Sweet and Lowdown play at our wedding on 18th June, and they were phenomenal from start to finish. They took the time to understand our music tastes and preferences, and put together a setlist that couldn’t have been more perfect. Every song hit the mark and the dance floor was full all night. (Even my husband's 80+ year old grandma, who usually finds it hard to get around, was up dancing with her zimmer frame) We’ve both been involved in music for most of our lives, so we spent a lot of time carefully choosing the right band. These guys absolutely delivered. The sound was tight, the transitions between songs were smooth, and they really nailed the feel of each track. At times, we couldn’t tell if it was the band or the original artist playing. On top of that, they were lovely people. Super easy to talk to, really relaxed and professional, and they brought such a fun energy to the day. A standout moment was when my husband, who’s a guitarist, got the chance to get up on stage and play a few songs with them. It meant a lot that they were open to that and made space for it in the set. It really made the experience even more personal and memorable. We can’t recommend The Sweet and Lowdown enough. Then it was straight into Hall & Oates - You Make My Dreams which immediately filled the dancefloor and they kept it full until the end, playing over two sets with a professional DJ set in between. The 4 piece band were extremely skilful in their playing and covered a real mix of songs from the 50s to the present day, with all ages up and dancing whether it was The Arctic Monkeys or Abba. The sound was just so good and it kept the hype up right the way through. Many of our guests were commenting afterwards on how good the band were.
